System News:
Blossburg - Are open now on Saturdays and there has been quite a bit of use. Friends' Basket Party will be held on May 17th. A Garden Party is planned for this summer.
Coudersport- Richard Marsh, Irish Story Teller, held a program on April 15th that was very well attended. Story Time is being held Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m.
Elkland- Preschool Story Hour is being held once a month.
Galeton- A book signing is being held with the author of Hobo the Cat. The Gertrude Hawk candy sale raised $1000 for the library.
Genesee- Will be holding 2nd annual Tractor Show on June 21 at the Genesee Park.
Knoxville- Have been having craft exhibits including quilting, tatting, and embroidery. Book Club continues to meet once a month. The frozen pizza sale made $600-$700. The Strategic Plan has been completed.
Mansfield- The Keystone Grant has been completed. A student art show is being held and the Friends' Book Sale will be at the Presbyterian Church.
Oswayo Valley- Holding a Beef on Weck sale in May. "Routes to Art" show will be on display at the library during the week of May 17th.
Ulysses- Held its annual Ham & Cheese Sandwich sale in April.
Wellsboro- Have been having 18 children per week at Story Hour. Dolls are on display in the lobby. The Friends Group donated books to those in kindergarten and 1st grade. A gift basket was presented to the first baby born in Wellsboro during National Library Week.
Westfield- In the process of revising the personnel policy. Book club continues to meet. |
